I have been writing since I was 10 years old. Since that age, I've
written numerous songs, stories, scripts, articles, etc. A lot of
work has been thrown away over the years, but a lot of work has also been
kept.
Even though I have featured a lot of my poems and lyrics on this page,
this time I decided to just post my best work.
REVOLUTION
YOUR LOVE
IT'S A CRAZY MIXED UP WORLD
WHEN I SEE YOU
DESTINY
SINGING THROUGH MY NOSE
SAD DAY
I LOVE THE 1st AMENDMENT
THE 60s
I DRANK A WHOLE LOTTA BEER
REVOLUTION
(November 15, 2007)
VERSE:
Gas prices too high, I can’t afford it
Uncle Sam taxin’ me out the ass
Where does my money go?
This I do not know.
I should protest, but I can’t so I won’t
Sick of it all,
What could I do?
I could..
CHORUS:
Start a revolution (4x)
We all need to make a change
We all can make a difference
Start a revolution (4x)
Come on and follow me and
Start a revolution (4x)
VERSE:
Uncle Sam go away, I can’t afford you
Please quit taxin’ all my paycheck
What good is it for anyway?
This I do not know
I should protest but I can’t so I won’t
Sick of it all,
What could I do?
I could..
CHORUS:
Start a revolution (4x)
We all deserve better
We all are sick of the liars
Start a revolution (4x)
Come on and follow me and
Start a revolution (4x)
(ad-lib)

YOUR LOVE
(November 12, 2005)
Your love is for
free
Your love is all I believe
Your love is all I wanna see
Your love is all I wanna be
Your love comes for cheap
My Dane’le, you are special to me
Your love, your love
Your love, your love
Your love, your love
Your love, your love
By land, or by sea
Always together we will be
Your love makes me feel free
As the wind blows, I feel a good breeze
Everyone else can just let me be
Cause your love is all I need
Your love, your love
Your love, your love
Your love, your love
Your love, your love

IT'S A CRAZY MIXED UP WORLD
(October 10, 2005)
(Note: this song represents how I felt
about what was happening after Hurricane Katrina hit and how the
government handled the situation.)
It’s a crazy mixed up world
This world is cruel, it can be evil all the time
Sometimes you feel like you are payin’ a fine
Gas prices just goin’ sky high when you ain’t even got a dime!
You feel like you’re doin’ time cuz your life is in such a bind
But they’ll never see the signs, oh in this life of mine.
Late after that hurricane, oh it’s just so insane.
Don’t you just feel those people’s pain?
A lot of them havta walk with a cane, and you don’t even know half their
names.
A lot of them are in emotional pain.
They need help and it came to late, it showed up about three days late.
Oh, this world is so insane.
Ship our boys to Iraq, claimin’ to do with terrorism.
Instead, it’s like goin’ to a militant prison, because someone made a
stupid decision.
Those towers fell and he used it as an excuse.
Our boys are dyin’, but he don’t seem to mind.
This mad world is just evil all the time.
A lot of people gettin’ drunk and high, gee, I wonder why.
It just makes me wanna sigh
It even makes me wanna cry
Why can’t this world just try – to get along, instead of bein’ wrong?
That’s all I gotta say in my song.

WHEN I SEE YOU
(May 01, 2005)
I love you
I’ve loved you since I first saw you
When I see you, I think marvelous view
Baby, when I see you
When I see you,
My skies turn from grey to blue
You are so very dear and true to me
Baby, can you see that I love you honestly?
I just love it when I see you
When I see you
My world feels full
My world is complete
Now I got you
Dear, I love you and I always will
Even after 60 years, I should still
When I see you

DESTINY
(May 01, 2005)
What’s mine?
Is there a sign?
Trying to figure it out
What is life all about?
This I ponder as I sit here on the couch
Sit and wonder
Sit and wonder
What do I do?
What do I do?
Do I get on stage just to get booed?
Or do I write something offensive just to get sued?
Or do I just eat up all of my food?
We all have a destiny
What could it be?

SINGING THROUGH MY NOSE
(December 16, 2002)
(note: this is a parody of Bob Dylan's "Knockin' On
Heaven's Door" - making fun of his singing) VERSE:
Ma, take this mic away from me
I can’t sing this anymore
It’s getting hard, too hard to sing
I think I’m singing through my nose!
CHORUS:
Sing, sing, singing through my nose
Sing, sing, singing through my nose
Sing, sing, singing through my nose
VERSE:
Ma, put my guitar in the ground
I can’t keep the beat anymore
That big black anvil is coming down
I think I’m singing through my nose!

SAD DAY
(September 20, 2001)
(note: this one
I wrote in response to the 9/11/01 terrorist attacks)
(FREEDOM ITSELF WAS ATTACKED THIS MORNING,
BY A FACELESS COWARD,
AND FREEDOM WILL BE DEFENDED!)
WHY DID IT HAPPEN
IN THIS GREAT GREAT LAND OF OPPORTUNITY AND FREEDOM?
WHY DID IT HAPPEN
THAT WE HAD TO GET ATTACKED BY TERRORISM?
WHY DID IT HAPPEN
THAT OVER 5,000 PEOPLE DIED BECAUSE SOMEONE HAD A GRUDGE ON AMERICA?
NINE-ELEVEN-OH-ONE WILL BE A DAY THAT NO ONE WILL FORGET
IT’S A DAY THAT MADE EVERYONE UPSET.
BUSH IS DECLARING A WAR ON ALL TERRORISM,
AND I AM GLAD
BECAUSE WHAT OSAMA DID MADE ME REALLY MAD!
I NEVER FELT PATRIOTIC BEFORE NINE-ELEVEN-OH-ONE
IT’S SO VERY WEIRD HOW SAD THINGS MAKE A PERSON CHANGE
OSAMA THOUGHT HE KILLED THE SPIRIT OF AMERICA THAT DAY
WHEN HE DESTROYED THOSE BUILDINGS AND KILLED ALL THOSE PEOPLE.
HE DIDN’T REALIZE THAT AMERICA
ISN’T ABOUT BUILDINGS OR ECONEMY
IT’S ABOUT THE PEOPLE WHO LIVE THERE, FREEDOM, AND OPPORTUNITY
OSAMA NEVER KILLED OUR SPIRIT THAT DAY,
HE STRENGTHENED IT.
USA IS UNITED AS ONE.
UNITED WE STAND, DEVIDED WE FALL.
AS ONE, OSAMA WILL FALL
BECAUSE OF THE ACT OF EVIL, TERRORISM
THAT HE COMMITTED ON OUR GREAT NATION
WE WILL GO TO WAR, FIGHT THE LONG HARD WAR,
AMERICA’S NEW WAR.
THE ONE AGAINST ALL TERRORISM
AND IN THE END, WE WILL WIN
THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA WILL NOT PUT UP
WITH THESE TREMENDOUS ACTS OF EVIL!
WE WILL NOT FALTER, WE WILL NOT FAIL, BUT WE WILL WIN!!
(USA, USA, USA!!)
(THOUGH I WALK THROUGH THE VALLEY OF THE SHADOW OF DEATH,
I FEAR NO EVIL BECAUSE GOD IS WITH ME!)

I LOVE THE 1st AMENDMENT
(May 1999)
(note: I wrote this in response to the punishment the Northside High
School authority gave me after finding lyrics to a song I wrote that was
inspired by both Eminem and Adam Sandler tracks. I don’t have that song
written down. They took it from me before I was able to put it on file on
the computer, but they claimed I was talking about people at the school.
I really wasn’t, and since the 1st amendment gives you the
right to write without fear of others say so, I decided to write this poem
in response to the wrong punishment I got.)
Why does a person have
to pay a fine
Just because they've got a creative mind?
Why does a person have to do time
Just because he's got a creative mind?
I got seven days in DSC, possibly the rest of the year
That's one thing I really fear
I don't feel so dear!
I got the 1st amendment to help me
(I'm the defendent)!
Freedom of speech, freedom of press!
The school will be defeated with no threats!
I love the 1st amendment
It rocks!
Write what you want, you ain't a communist!
You just write it, you don't do it!
Nothin' wrong with that!
It may be the '90s and society is different, but you just write!
You got the right!
Write what you want to write!
Look at Stephen King and Wes Craven
They ain't misbehavin'
They're just writin'!
I don't care, it's not fair!
I got sentenced to seven days in DSC!
Why can't they just see
I just write the fright on this site,
The first amendment gives me that right!

THE 60s (1997)
The 60s changed the world,
The 60s changed the society,
The 60s changed the music,
The 60s changed the politicians,
The 60s changed the musicians,
The 60s changed our minds,
The 60s changed thoughts of war,
The 60s changed the art,
The 60s created the hippies,
The 60s created the peace sign,
The 60s created the Beatles,
The 60s killed John F. Kennedy and his brother (RFK),
The 60s killed Martin Luther King,
The 60s killed Malcolm X!
What happened in Berkeley in the 60s?
What happened in Chicago in the 60s?
What happened in Mississippi and Alabama in the 60s?
What happened in Washington in the 60s?
What happened in Dallas in the 60s?
What happened in Woodstock in the 60s?
What happened in the 60s?
What went on during the 60s?
The 60s changed it all!

I DRANK A WHOLE LOTTA BEER
(1997)
(Note: I wrote this one as a parody to country music.)
I drank a whole lotta whiskey,

and gots throwin' in prison!
I told the cops I had to see me baby,

"No! You killed Wyatt, Shyitt, & Billy!"
I drank a whole lotta whiskey,
so I bet me wife miss me!
I drank a whole lotta whiskey,
